FSF evidence leads to new safety steps at Fulham

The FSF is not all-seeing and all-hearing, we can only report what our fellow fans and members tell us. So we'd like to thank every fan who did just that after September’s Brazil v Ghana friendly at Craven Cottage. Hammersmith & Fulham Council launched an immediate investigation and identified six safety steps to build into matchday planning to prevent a repeat. Credit to them and hats off to the fans who spoke up and improved things for the better.

Bubble trouble at South Coast derby

Fans of Portsmouth and Southampton are unhappy with Hampshire Police thanks to their decision to force a so-called “bubble match” onto supporters this Sunday. Bubble matches place severe restrictions on fans’ freedom of movement and supporters of both sides say the move is unnecessary. It's a feeling fans of Bristol City, Burnley, Cardiff City, Wolves, and more are familiar with.

FC United close in on £1.6m stadium fund target

Fan-owned FC United of Manchester has asked its supporters to dig deep this Christmas to raise more funds for the club’s new ground and community facility. FCUM followers have already raised a remarkable £1.3m via a unique community share scheme and the club hopes to reach £1.6m by the 31st December deadline.

Brazil, a country which provides more than its fair share of moments for And Finally. The player in question here skips past two men and slots home neatly. But the opposition interrupt his celebration with some violent pot shots. Then the ref sends him off. Even his own teammates frogmarch him from the pitch. What has he done to rile everyone so?
