Toon Army stand ground on name changeThose with better memories will recall that back in September 2009 Newcastle United Chairman Mike Ashley planned to sell off the St James' Park name to the highest bidder. Fans were naturally up in arms about it - NUST collected 30,000 signatures opposing the move - and the plan seemed to have died a death. However the story has reared its ugly head again and anyone looking to lodge an objection should do so pronto via Newcastle City Council's planning department. |

...and finally. Here at the FSF we obviously don’t condone violence, whether it’s from fans or, on this occasion, a player. Normally when someone gets a second yellow there’ll be a bit of handbags with the opposition, some theatrical hand gestures towards the ref and a long skulk back to the dressing room. Not in the Greek lower-leagues though where the player in this video sees fit to start a near riot by (quite literally) kicking a man while he’s down. Charming. |
