Newcastle United fan David Pritchard decided to walk from Plymouth to Newcastle to raise funds for the Sir Bobby Foundation. On the 18th of September he flew to Plymouth and walked back to Newcastle. In all it took 20 days, arriving on the Tyne bridge at 10.05pm on the 8th of October after a desperate 32mile push from Darlington.
Dave said "I was gutted when he died as i felt I'd lost a family member, yet I had never met him! Im sure you will agree with me that he was a truely wonderful gentleman. My event was followed by the Evening Chronicle who were fantastic in helping to raise awarness of my event. My target was to raise 1000 pounds"
Although this was last month, NUST congratulate Dave on his great effort and are happy to publish this now to try to push Dave towards his final target
