Newcastle Long Service

nust_logo_smallNUST's latest local achievers are husband and wife Audrey and Eddie Stringer. They started a church based youth club in their local village of Burnopfield in 1962 when they were in their early twenties and 49 years later are still active workers in the same youth club, Burnopfield Gospel Fellowship Youth Club. They were nominated by Rob Bewick who commented "Audrey and Eddie have served our community for almost a century - 98 years between them - 49 years each. They are 100% dedicated and very passionate in helping all of the village youngsters at the youth club. They are unpaid volunteers, who are also very humble and it is believed that they are amongst the longest serving youth workers in the North-East"

Audrey and Eddie will be attending Newcastle's game against Tottenham on Saturday courtesy of NUST.
