Ged Grebby, Chief Executive of North East Charity ‘Show Racism the Red Card’ recommended Simone Doyle for this weeks Local Achievers award. Formed in the Newcastle in 1996 to harness the high profile nature of footballers as anti-racist role models the organisation has grown from strength to strength and now has offices in the North East, Glasgow and Cardiff as well as offices outside of the UK Ged said that ‘’Simone has worked tirelessly for the charity for over 10 years and is currently a member of it’s Management Committee. The nomination is well deserved for the work that Simone has undertaken in that period". Simone will be attending Newcastle's match with Blackburn on Wednesday night courtesy of NUST.
