NUST – working to promote and encourage grassroots football.
At NUST we have been exploring various initiatives which would help the football community of the region. Through an ongoing relationship with Westgate Juniors, who do a magnificent job running twelve junior teams in the west of the city, it was identified that there was a pressing need for such football clubs/ teams to move into the twenty first century and have a presence on the internet. This would enable both junior and senior clubs to attract players and of course to communicate to a wider audience the positive coming together of people in the cause of football and their community.
Creating a presence on the web to do such local football clubs justice is a very time consuming and skilled job, NUST are looking to bridge that gap on their behalf through a dedicated area of the Trust website which will provide that web presence on their behalf, for free!
Westgate Juniors are the first beneficiaries of this Trust initiative. Click here to see what a great job they are doing and to get an idea what the Trust can offer to local football teams, clubs and schools.
The idea of encouraging grassroots football is a theme central to the Trust and the opportunity to benefit present and future members of the community by promoting, encouraging and furthering the game of football as a focus for community involvement.
