NUST has worked closely with the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation and so for Saturday's local achievers we contacted Liz Luff to ask for a nomination. For anybody who isn't aware, Liz has worked tirelessly on behalf of the Foundation and has been a major factor in it's success.
Liz nominated Cameron Angus and family, they will receive tickets for the Watford match courtesy of the Trust. Cameron has a brain tumour which requires regular treatment at the Freeman Hospital, where he's had both radiotherapy and chemo. Treatment means sometimes he has to visit the hospital every day for weeks on end. Recently the experience became easier after the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation funded a new children's waiting area.
Cameron's dad James commented, "Cameron is looking forward to the match so much, as are the rest of the family! We think the Trust are doing a great job and through initiatives like this they are leading the way in at long last the name of our great club being in the headlines for all the right reasons. The donation from the Sir Bobby Foundation makes all the difference to Cameron's countless visits for treatment and has undoubtedly helped him to deal with the very difficult times he's had. I'd urge fans to keep on donating via www.sirbobbyrobsonfoundation.org.uk because Cameron is living proof that the money people raise really makes a difference to the people of the region. We're especially looking forward to Saturday because the last time we visited St.James' Park was when we bought tickets for the Sir Bobby Robson Trophy match and unfortunately we had to leave before kick-off because Cameron felt unwell".
