The Football Supporters’ Federation’s weekly news round-up (14th October 2011)

FSF-Logo-MEDIUMWednesday saw Liverpool’s managing director Ian Ayre claim the club should throw away the “collective agreement” between all 20 Premier League clubs so they could gorge themselves on more TV money. Bill Shankly would be proud eh? On the same day the government also warned the football industry that they’d better start listening to football fans, or else. And that or else might even be Parliamentary legislation. Hear, hear.

The FSF is also interested to know what fans think of international fixtures. Mr Blatter (boo-hiss) wants more, the clubs want less, but what do fans think? Take two minutes of your time to let us know and help formulate FSF policy. There’s also news from Kick It Out and interesting events in Portsmouth and Newcastle in the coming week. If you live on the south coast or in the north east, do not miss out.
